Learn how to choose joy and gain strength for your journey.

Are you struggling to find joy and purpose in your day?

Have you lost your sense of self in the daily grind?

I know. I’ve been right where you are.

Now it is my hope to help women like you find a better way. God’s way.

For the last decade I’ve been a Bible teacher working with women through discipleship training and women’s ministry.

I have a heart for helping mamas navigate their parenting journey, as well as mentoring women one-on-one and in small groups. My passion is building strong faith, raising a strong family, and helping others do the same. My life is filled with the busyness that comes with a big family and the trials and triumphs that come with raising strong-willed children. To say it can be challenging would be an understatement. Keeping God at the center and leaning on each other makes all the difference.

I am encouraged daily by the Scripture in the book of Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” And he wants to strengthen you too!

We were not created to walk through life alone or lonely. Two are always better than one and we are most definitely stronger together! I’m here to help.

MY FAMILY

I live in Austin Texas with my husband Chad and have two grown daughters, Rebekah and Samantha, and two teenage sons, Adam and David. We love to work hard, play hard, gather together in the kitchen, relax at the lake, and spoil our goofy pup, Willie Nelson.

I’m originally from Southern California where I led a happy-go-lucky normal childhood until my teen years. Middle and high school were a different story. Chaos and darkness seemed to hover over me like a storm cloud, making life dreadful and depressing. I was rebellious and strong-willed. God bless my parents, because our home seemed like the only place that did not feel dark and chaotic.

Perhaps that’s why I am so passionate about parenting well and making my home a soft, safe place where my family can come to laugh and love after a hard day “out there.”

MY PLAN

By some miracle of God, I made it to college and majored in English Education and Linguistics at Cal State University Long Beach. I knew I loved words, written and spoken, and thought I would become a teacher.

While there, I experienced Jesus in a powerful way that changed my life radically. The chaos left and the darkness lifted. For the first time since I was a child, I felt peace, joy, and clarity. After graduation, I worked in full-time campus ministry at UCLA sharing my faith with college students and speaking in high schools and churches about God’s plans and purposes. It was a crazy detour but I probably made a bigger impact on them than had I been their English teacher!

GOD’S PLAN

While working at UCLA, I met and married my husband Chad who was a student and football player. Shortly after we were married he was drafted to the NFL and we began a wild and crazy journey across the map that took me way out of my California comfort zone to Chicago, Seattle, Atlanta, and Houston.

We eventually settled in Austin Texas, where we have been for 20 years now. Except for Rebekah, who was born in snowy Chicago, all my kiddos were born here and we consider Austin home.

PARENTING

Parenting can be hard and messy and some days I feel defeated, but the strength and wisdom I gain from God and a supportive community compels me to get back up and try again. Then I go back to the drawing board and see how I can improve upon yesterday.

My own strong will comes in handy and I don’t want to settle. I don’t want to be mediocre at this. I want to do it well, see the fruits of my labor, and glorify God with my life. These are my people and I am going to give them everything I’ve got and then some, and it’s going to take strong faith!

I want to help you do the same.

Through mentoring and teaching, I help women gain confidence, purpose, and a sense of identity.
